Welcome to Fall! Seniors and Mini Sessions! Oh My!

It finally feels like fall and I'm here for it!

There's a chill in the air this week, the bears are fattening up (we had a momma and 2 babies in our yard several nights ago), and I'm looking at cleaning up the garden for the winter. This has always been my favorite season of the year! So curl up with a hot beverage of your choice and enjoy.

Inside the newsletter this month:

  • Fall Family Mini Sessions
  • High School Senior Portraits

I've recently gotten several requests to teach a photography class for those wanting to take better images of their family, whether with a phone or a fancier camera. If you're interested in this, please respond to this email and let me know! I might just put something together for the winter months.

Thanks for allowing me to pop into your inbox this month. I hope to see you soon!

-Natasha

My small business runs on referrals and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate yours!

For each referral who books a full session, I’ll gift you both a $100 voucher good towards your Photo Collection or products inside my online store. There’s no limit to how many people you can refer!

Fall family mini sessions

20-Minute Mini Sessions

Two dates / Two locations

September 30th: Mud Lake, Nederland There's no school for BVSD that day, so seems like a good excuse to go leaf-peeping and get some gorgeous photos at the same time. There are some great aspen groves and a small lake with grasslands to explore.

October 13th: Bobolink Trailhead, Boulder The cottonwood trees always hold out a little longer than the aspen and this little gem should be really pretty, with flatiron views and a creek.

Class of 2025 - Senior portrait deadlines are coming up!

Do you have a High School senior in your household? Most high schools have yearbook deadlines coming up this fall. If you haven't booked your session yet, I still have some availability before November.

I'd love to work with your senior and document their last year in high school!

Photography Tips:

If you are taking photos in challenging lighting conditions, such as a bright sky or a dark room, use the exposure slider feature on your phone to lock in the ideal exposure. Tap and hold on to the screen to adjust the exposure that looks best and focus on your subject, which can result in a better-exposed image.

Hi! I'm Natasha

I’m a Family Photographer and Filmmaker (and Geologist!). Since 2016, I’ve switched from telling stories of ancient geologic environments to telling stories of families and children. Over the years, I’ve polished my craft like water polishes rock.

Photography is science and light and I think that’s why I love it so much: these are my superpowers.

HAPPY SPRING-ish! Just when I got out all of my warm-weather clothing, we got a nice thin layer of snow on the ground again, but no worries, it'll warm up again soon enough! (She said, as blizzard conditions worsened.) It's been a quiet winter for me, and as many photographers do, I reworked my website (keep an eye out for the new one coming in May!) and revamped some of my systems to better serve my clients. I also finished up a mentorship for documentary family photography and another one...
